Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell is set to complete his move to Sunderland today.
Rodwell is on Wearside for a Sunderland medical.
The 23-year-old made just 10 appearances for City last season having been hampered by a series of injuries since his arrival from Everton in a £12million move in the summer of 2012.
The arrival of Fernando from Porto has increased the competition for places in City's star-studded line-up.
