Man City defender Zabaleta delivers good news on Dad recovery

Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta has delivered good news over his father's recovery.

Jorge is making good progress following a serious car crash in March and the popular City defender was keen to show his appreciation for the support the Blues' fans have shown him and his family.

"I went back to Argentina to support my family, my brothers, but when my father started to get better I decided to come back to be with the team," he told City's website.

"I have to say thank you to the City fans because many of them followed me on Twitter and left some great Tweets of support to me and my family.

"They have been asking how my father is doing, so I have to thank them for that. What I can say is that my brother told me when we played the semi-final against United, my dad was in bed and watching the game on TV.

"When we won he was very happy and had a smile on his face. Maybe that will make his recovery much quicker."
