Manchester City are closing on a deal for Bayern Munich defender Holger Badstuber.
Badstuber played under Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola at Bayern.
The centre-back has been plagued by injuries in recent seasons and is currently below Mats Hummels and Jerome Boateng in the pecking order under Carlo Ancelotti.
The Sun reports City are chasing Badstuber and are confident of completing a deal.
The 27-year-old is out of contract in the summer but it is claimed Guardiola is looking for a short-term deal until June.
