Manchester City attacker Nolito insists he only met Sevilla officials "by chance" while in Spain this week.

Nolito is expected to return to LaLiga football this summer.

A photo emerged on Tuesday of Nolito in conversation with Óscar Arias, the new sporting director at Sevilla, in a cafe in the city. He claims that this was an accidental, chance meeting.

“I was in Sevilla circumstantially; I went to buy a suit for my partner," he said.

"I went for a coffee and, by chance, met the sporting director of Sevilla."
