Luuk de Jong: I can play with Memphis; I'm different to other Barcelona strikers

Luuk de Jong says he's fit and ready to play for Barcelona.

The Sevilla striker, now on-loan with Barca for the season, was presented to the local media this morning.

He said, "The first days have gone very well, they have received me very well and more than a club is a family and I have perceived it from day one. I have a good relationship with the coach (Ronald Koeman) because we already knew each other from the national team and I am happy to be here. They have told me that I can ask for whatever I need, so I am very happy.

"I feel very good, I had a knee injury where I was recovering for two months but I have been training for three or four weeks. I feel fit and prepared. I don't know what plans he has for the next game but I feel ready.

"I think Koeman wants a forward a little different from the ones he has to change a bit of tactics. The type of game he wants, I can give it to him and I hope it goes well."

On his connection with Memphis Depay, he added: "I have a very good relationship with Memphis, I know him from the national team and from PSV, and we have a very good connection without words, we use the language of football and I hope to have the same connection at Barça. I know Frenkie (de Jong) and as a striker, it's good to have so much quality behind to help you up front."
