Football Federation Australia chairman Frank Lowy has ensured the bulk of the $45 million granted for a World Cup bid will be spent professionally. Lowy has vowed that there will be no wasting of money on entertaining overseas delegates and that it will be used for 'professional services'.
The services include marketing, public relations and international campaigning.
"I can assure you this money will be spent wisely," Lowy said.
"It will not be spent on entertainment and lunches and dinners. It will be used for professional services that we will hire in Australia and overseas to ensure we have the best possible bid.
"I am talking about management consultants and people who have experience in putting this together with FIFA and other organisations."
