Patrick Bamford has won a call-up to the England U21 team on the back of his scintillating form for loan club MK Dons.
The 20-year old striker, who is on a six-month loan with the League One club from Chelsea, has been called up by Gareth Southgate for Tuesday's European U21 qualifier against San Marino in Shrewsbury.
Bamford replaces West Bromwich Albion young gun Saido Berahino who is suspended after he was booked during Thursday's 3-0 win over Finland in which he netted two goals.
Bamford has scored a total of 12 goals for the Dons this season including 10 in the league for the 10th-placed third tier club.
