Liverpool have been given a significant boost as they look to complete a deal for Inter Milan's Philippe Coutinho, reports the Daily Express. The Reds are believed to have had a £10.2m bid for the Brazilian accepted last week, with the player due to have his medical in Merseyside this week.
And now Coutinho has been given the green light by Inter president Massimo Moratti, who feels the deal could benefit both clubs.
He said: "There are opportunities that must be taken and at times players can have the chance to get more playing time.
"This is why I think this English move could be a great opportunity for Coutinho and a deal that would be good for us too."
