Liverpool have made a surprise move for AC Milan goalkeeper Nelson Dida.

The Brazil international, 33, comes off contract at the end of this season and is expected to be shown the door by Milan chiefs.

Tuttosport says Liverpool representatives have held Bosman talks with Dida and proposed a two-year contract for the keeper to move to Anfield as cover for Jose Reina.

Another Brazilian goalkeeper, Diego Cavalieri, is already on the books at Liverpool.
