Liverpool legend John Aldridge feels they lack a goalscorer after today's 0-0 draw with Manchester United.

Liverpool dominated the game, but lacked the cutting edge to finish off the chances they created.

Aldo told LFC TV afterwards: "The confidence is very, very low in front of goal. We didn't create as many chances as we'd usually would, but we created enough to still go on and win by a couple of goals.

"We still need some better players in this squad. We need a goalscorer!"

He added: "We're a very good side. But I'm sick of saying it, we need to finish off the chances created. We need to start scoring.

"Why not give Solanke a go? Give him a go! Or even Salah down the middle. We need someone to finish these moves off."
