Lita won't be tempted from Reading

Leroy Lita insists he's committed to Reading, despite new contract talks dragging on.

Lita has been linked with £5million moves to Bolton, Newcastle and Sunderland but insists he is happy to remain with Steve Coppell's men.

The 22-year-old, who bagged a hat-trick against Brighton at the weekend, told the Daily Star: "I'm happy to leave all the talking to my agent and the club so I can concentrate on football.

"I'm happy here. This is an important year for me and the club and I just want to play and be successful.

"I'm looking forward to the challenge of carrying on our success of last season."

Coppell added: "There's no rush. Leroy has two years left on his contract so it's not as if we have our backs to the wall.

"We are at the preliminary stage of talks, but we always want to reward the players who have done well for us and Leroy is one of those."
