Italy's World Cup winning coach Marcello Lippi has put his hand up for Frank Rijkaard's job at Barcelona.

Lippi declared: "I am ready to return to coach. I've refused many offers, including that of Juve. At the time I wasn't ready, but I think I may have stayed out too long. It was a mistake, but I am not rusty.

"I want to coach a club that is build on young players, such as Fiorentina or foreign teams like Barcelona."
