Soccer stars David Beckham and Wayne Rooney have both been nominated for the Celebrity Dad of the Year award.

Monstersandcritics.com reports that LA Galaxy star Beckham and Manchester United striker Rooney have joined entertainer Elton John (with partner David Furnish), singer Peter Andre and TV presenter Jonathan Ross in the running for the prize.

The poll is being run by Premier Inn and the winner will be announced on Father's Day next month.
