Liverpool attacker Dirk Kuyt hailed the Anfield support for their derby draw with Everton.
Kuyt reckons the atmosphere was a key factor in the Reds' impressive first-half performance and was also pleased with how the home side responded when they conceded two quickfire goals following the interval.
He told liverpoolfc.tv: "I think the supporters were unbelievable for us. We all know the season hasn't gone the way we would have wanted but you could see how the crowd was behind us. That is a big plus and we all enjoyed it.
"It also helps to motivate you to start the way we did in the first half. It 's just a bit of a shame we only scored the one goal instead of two or three.
"It was disappointing how we started the second half. Even though it was the wrong decision from the referee to give a corner, we still have to defend it better. We need to do better when defending set pieces.
"We are working hard in training sessions and we are trying to bring it into games. I thought we did really well for 45 minutes and then after we went 2-1 behind I thought it was a great effort from the team to get it back to 2-2."
