Klopp admits Liverpool already planning for next season

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted to already having one eye on next season as he looks to embed his playing style and philosophy at Anfield.

Klopp was appointed to the role of Reds manager in October, but there's no hiding the fact the former Borussia Dortmund boss is looking forward to making a statement with the Merseyside club in his first full season in charge.

"Yes, we are planning for next season," Klopp said.

"Clearly, we plan for next season. We have to wait for the right decision and we have to think about a lot of things.

"There is nothing to say yet. It is not a case that I can say that we are close to this decision or that decision. But we work the whole day and it is not just preparing for games.

"In the end we have to plan for the future and that is what we are doing."

Reports are suggesting that Liverpool are preparing to part ways with as many as eight senior players this summer with a number of high-profile names such as Mario Gotze, Ignacio Camacho, Granit Xhaka and Lucas Moura on Klopp's radar as he looks to reinvigorate the squad he inherited from Brendan Rodgers.
