Juventus defender Olof Mellberg was disappointed not to break the deadlock last night against Champions League rivals Zenit St Petersburg.

"We had so many chances, especially at the start of the game," said the defender after a 0-0 draw in St Petersburg.

"We got right into the match and admittedly Zenit could have won it too, so I guess we can be happy with the result."

Mellberg's header thumped the upright and Vincenzo Iaquinta also shook the frame of the goal, while Zenit were denied by the post in the second half.

"I thought it was going into the net and it was a great opportunity, but I was unlucky."
