Blackburn Rovers assistant manager John Jensen has signed a new contract.
Jensen, who arrived at the club in January on a short-term contract, has signed a one-year rolling deal to continue working alongside manager Steve Kean.
The former Arsenal and Danish international star, who has become a popular figure within the backroom team, told the Rovers website: "To be asked to stay on means an awful lot to me.
"Steve told me a few weeks ago that he was keen for me to stay whatever happened, but the situation is clearly much better now we have secured our Premier League status.
"It is apparent to me that the Premier League is by far and away the best competition in the world and to be able to be part of it at a club as good as this is very exciting."
Kean added: "John quickly proved to me that he has all the qualities necessary to fulfil the role of assistant manager, not least loyalty and trust.
"He is a football man and we share the same philosophies. I'm delighted that he has agreed to continue with us and see him playing a big part in our future."
