Former Everton captain Phil Jagielka says Goodison Park is the best place for Jarrad Branthwaite.
The defender is being linked with Manchester United this season.
But Jagielka told Sky Sports: “He's definitely been someone to watch this season. It's probably difficult for an Evertonian to watch him doing so well. If a big bid came in the future it's going to be a tough one to turn down. 20, 40, 50 games don't make you a top class player. I think he's still finding his feet and he's at the right place to do so.
“Sometimes you get lost if you go to a big club, you can be in and out of the team. At the moment he's one of the first names down on the team sheet which is good for his confidence and his development.
“At the moment he's at the right place. It would be nice for Everton to move forward, for him to stay there and move to the new stadium and play there for many years. But we don't know what's round the corner for Everton."
