West Ham United made a late move for PSG midfielder Idrissa Gueye on deadline day, it has been revealed.
It was confirmed Gueye rejected an offer from Newcastle United in the final 48 hours of the winter market.
And Telefoot's Dave Appadoo reported on Monday evening: "Newcastle made an interesting proposal by offering to take charge of his salary, even increase it. But sportingly, that does not interest Gueye.
“In recent hours, West Ham has entered the dance. It discusses and it is much more interesting sporting project."
In the end, the former Everton midfielder chose to remain in Paris.
