Injured Chelsea captain James cuts months off rehab thanks to personal work

Injured Chelsea captain Reece James hopes to be back in action in the coming days.

The England fullback suffered a hamstring injury on the opening day of the season.

The Daily Mail says there were initial fears James would be out until Christmas with plans of a return to light training in mid-October.

However, he could return sooner after progressing well on his personal rehabilitation programme.

Indeed, James is expected to back in training next week with the aim of being part of the squad for their Premier League clash with Burnley.
