Hull duo considered for Portsmouth clash

Hull City pair Dean Windass and Stelios Giannakopoulos are being considered for this weekend's away match at Portsmouth.

After guiding the Tigers reserves to a 2-1 win over Manchester United, the duo have caught the eye of boss Phil Brown who now has them firmly in his calculations.

"When you go to see reserve games you are looking at quality players from the top opposition teams but you're also viewing the fitness levels and mentality of your own players," he told Sport Hull.

"Windass, Stelios and [Ryan] France have all given me food for thought for Saturday."

Brown will also have to make a decision on injured defender Andy Dawson.

"It's a long-standing injury and Andy is only 50-50 for the Portsmouth match," admitted the Hull manager.

"He's gone through the pain barrier a few times for us this season, as he's done throughout his career, and he's still recovering."
