Hull City have denied reports that West Bromwich Albion striker Shane Long was set to undergo a medical with them on Thursday.
The Republic of Ireland international, who was close to a summer shift to the KC Stadium, is again being linked with an Albion exit but the Tigers insist that nothing of the sort is about to occur.
"Contrary to reports in the media this morning (Thursday), the club confirms that it has not reached any agreement with West Bromwich Albion over the transfer of striker Shane Long, and as such will not be conducting a medical with the player today," read a statement on Hull's official website.
