Newcastle United caretaker boss Chris Hughton has backed Fabricio Coloccini to shake-off the boo-boys.

Hughton told the Evening Chronicle: "Colo is part of a team that is trying to do the best they can. He knows what we need to get.

"At the moment it's not the time to be singling out individuals.

"The spirit we have to show is that when we win, it's as a team and when we lose it's as a team.

"We haven't been able to win again. But we experience it all together."
