Ray Houghton has urged Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish to give Joe Cole a chance in his midfield.
The former Reds midfielder is a keen admirer of the No.10 and feels he can have a major say in the season finale once he is match fit.
Houghton said: "It's very good for Joe to try to get as much game time as he can. Kenny [Dalglish] will play him.
"He's the sort of player Liverpool need in the final third, playing that through ball for the likes of Suarez or Carroll.
"He's the one that can see that ball so he's certainly got the ability to do that. He just needs to play."
