Honda influence implores Toyo Tires to team up with AC Milan

Japanese company Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. have entered a partnership with Italian club AC Milan.

The Osaka tyremaker have agreed a multi-year sponsorship deal with the Rossoneri, making it the second deal they have done with a Japanese organisation since Keisuke Honda joined the club in January.

Milan, who are also in a partnership with Fujitsu, have penned a deal which according to Gazzetta dello Sport, runs until June 2016 and is worth €3 million (US$4.2 million).

"We're happy to welcome Toyo Tire as a premium sponsor," Milan's new vice-president Barbara Berlusconi.

"It's the start of a partnership which shows the club's global appeal and we're happy to collaborate with such an internationally important brand.

"We share values and common objectives which will be the centre of this relationship. It's also a way to strengthen ties with the club's many fans in Asia."
