Hertha Berlin coach Bruno Labbadia admits Matteo Guendouzi could start on Saturday against FC Augsburg.
The on-loan Arsenal midfielder made his debut off the bench last week for the draw with Wolfsburg.
Labbadia said, "He's one of the best options we have.
"He did very well when he got on and brought on his strengths. You can also tell that he really wants to play.
"I don't see Matteo on ten. He's more of a player who shows himself in the deep area and is responsible for building up the game. I see him more as an eight, with a team that works well and has a lot of ball, he can also play as a six. In the eight he can drive the ball, that's why I see him there."
