Principle Liverpool owner John W Henry says they are wary of overspending in the transfer market.

Henry, principal owner of the club's American backers Fenway Sports Group, has reassured Liverpool supporters that new faces will arrive but stressed again they will not exceed their budget.

"We are determined to build," he said.

"As long as we stay within the parameters UEFA has set forth under its Financial Fair Play rules, we will have flexibility."
