Luis Suarez is excited to have signed with Gremio.

More than 30,000 Gremio fans filled the Brazilian club's arena in Porto Alegre on Wednesday to welcome striker Suarez.

Three-time Copa Libertadores winner Gremio will return to Brazil's top flight division after a shocking relegation in 2021.

It will be the eighth club in Suarez' career, which includes stints at Ajax, Liverpool, Barcelona and Atletico de Madrid.

Former teammates of the Uruguayan spoke in several videos, including Neymar.

Suarez said, "Friends are always there to help, to advise and to support my decisions. And that's what happened with... friends.

"I am not the same as I used to be. But it's possible that, with one movement, 50 meters away from the goal post, my teammates could benefit from me, because it's a team effort."
