Gold Coast's Pantelidis faces two as Nth Qld's Fowler cleared

Following the Gold Coast United versus North Queensland Fury match, the Match Review Panel has deliberated on two incidens.

The independent Match Review Panel, consisting of Barry Such (Chair), Alan Davidson and Simon Micallef, convened to consider the following incidents from Round 2:

- an incident involving Steve Pantelidis (Gold Coast United) and Robbie Middleby (North Queensland) during the second-half of the match (69th minute) between the clubs on Saturday night. As the incident escaped the attention of referee Chris Beath, the MRP has the authority to consider the incident. The MRP found that Steve Pantelidis had committed the offence of "violent conduct" and proposed a sanction of two (2) matches. The player has until 12 noon Tuesday 18 August to accept the proposed sanction or refer the matter to a hearing by the FFA Disciplinary Committee.

- In relation to an incident involving Robbie Fowler (North Queensland) and Anderson (Gold Coast United) in the 85th minute of the same match, the incident did not escape the attention of the referee. In accordance with FIFA and FFA Regulations, the MRP has no authority to intervene.
