The girlfriend of Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea will compete in this year's Eurovision Song Contest.

Edurne Garcia, 29, who has been with the Manchester United star since 2010, will sing 'Amanecer' at the Vienna Stadthalle on May 23, one day before United face Hull.

Edurne says De Gea is "very happy" for her.

"He was very happy for me when I told him, just like my family and friends. The people who love you share in your good news."
