Rangers legend Paul Gascoigne is happy to see Steven Gerrard take charge.

The Liverpool icon was confirmed Gers manager yesterday.

"Fantastic for Steven and Rangers," Gazza told Sky Sports.

"I'm excited for him. It's great news. What a club it is – it's massive – and I loved my time up there.

"I spent two and a half years there and loved it.

"When I signed for Rangers the players they had were fantastic.

"He'll love it up there."
