Fulham defender Calvin Bassey looked up to Harry Maguire when they were both at Leicester City.

Now the two were face to face in the Premier League, with United beating Fulham 1-0 at the weekend at Craven Cottage.

Bassey and Maguire spent a lot of time chatting post-game, with the Nigeria international only having positive things to say about the under-fire United defender.

"At the time I was coming through the ranks and he was one of the players I looked up to and still do, he's a quality player," Bassey said to reporters.

"Now that I'm playing on the opposite side, he plays on the opposite side, just giving me some advice like any top player would.

"Yeah of course," added on Maguire being an inspiration.

"He was incredible at Leicester and still is. To do what he did for Leicester was amazing."
