Fulham are in talks for Valencia midfielder Sergio Canales.
The Daily Mail says Canales has attracted interest from Everton in recent weeks but the west London side are hopeful of agreeing a loan move for the ex-Real Madrid youngster.
Fulham are currently just one point and a single place away from the relegation zone and Meulensteen is keen to strengthen his squad before the transfer window closes on Friday.
