Forster: Southampton success due to team spirit

Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster has hailed the team spirit at St Mary's.

The 26 year-old believes that is the reason behind Saints' great start to the campaign, but says the squad will continue to take it one step at a time.

Forster told the Saints website: "Ever since the summer we've had a great team belief and unity.

"That has been crucial. All the new lads have come in and settled really well. It has been a really positive start but we're aware it is only a start and there's still a long way to go. However, we can be pleased with what we have done up until this point.

"For us, we've got to keep our feet firmly planted to the floor. We're looking at one game at a time and preparing to our maximum ability for the next game. For us, it is one week at a time and we'll see where it takes us."
