League Two Southend United will appoint Phil Brown as their new manager, 24 hours after sacking Paul Sturrock. Former Hull and Derby boss Brown was at Roots Hall on Monday morning to finalise terms with the Essex club.
The 53 year old has been out of management since December 2011, when he ended an 11-month spell at Preston.
