Jon Flanagan is set to make his long awaited return to the pitch on Tuesday, according to reports from the Liverpool Echo.

Flanagan has been unable to build on his fantastic 2013/14 season after a serious knee injury ruled him out for at least 19 months.

Following a long rehabilitation process, it has now been revealed that Flanagan has finally made a return to full fitness and will be making his first appearance since May 2014 by featuring for the Liverpool Under-21's on Tuesday in what is a huge boost for the Reds.
