Ferdinand urges Juventus midfielder Pogba to speak out on drugs ban

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has spoken about Paul Pogba's drugs ban this week.

The ex-centre half, who was banned during his career for nine months for missing a drugs test in the mid-2000s, wants to assist Pogba.

Ferdinand believes he can offer advice and listen to Pogba's side of the story, after he was given a four-year doping ban for taking DHEA.

"Firstly, you want to know the detail behind it. In the media, you comment about stuff and I think with drugs and that, you need to know the detail," he said on his FIVE YouTube show.

"I'm well placed to sit and chat about this because I've been through this. And I'm not going to jump to, 'He's guilty' because I've been here in this position.

“I know Paul, I played with him and I know him well enough after. I need to hear from him and then I need to hear some facts."
