Former Fulham and Manchester City scouting chief Mike Rigg is a target for the FA.
The Sunday Express says after bringing in Gareth Southgate as the £600,000-a-year England Under-21 boss, Club England are searching for a head of talent identification to report to head of elite development Dan Ashworth.
And Rigg, who lost his job at Loftus Road following Mark Hughes' sacking, appears to head the field, especially after being asked to compile reports on England Under-20s' opponents in what ultimately proved an unsuccessful World Cup in Turkey over the summer.
