Former Leeds United and Aston Villa boss David O'Leary has been sacked by Al Ahli.
The Sun says the decision to axe him will be confirmed this week when the club's owner returns to the United Arab Emirates. O'Leary, 52, had been in the role just nine months after signing a three-year deal last summer.
He made Italian World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro his captain as Al Ahli's owner splashed the cash in search of glory.
But a poor run of results have seen his side slip down the table to fifth despite an encouraging start to the campaign.
