Ex-Man Utd striker Ronaldo releases his 'three aspects of reality' message

Released Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has posted a cryptic message on social media just two days after Portugal's shock elimination from the World Cup.

The 37-year-old started the match on the bench, after falling out of favour with national boss Fernando Santos, before being introduced mid-way through their loss to Morocco.

Now - with his domestic career still up in the air - the superstar has revealed his "three aspects of reality" in a post on Monday night.

The forward shared a picture on Instagram that detailed his "three aspects of reality" as "pain, uncertainty and constant work".

The image comes from a recent Netflix documentary directed by Jonah Hill entitled; Stutz. It focuses on American psychotherapist Phil Stutz, who works on life improvement.

Just one day before, the superstar forward penned a long message to his followers on the same platform and spoke of his allegiance to Portugal.
