Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has been appointed as the new boss of Stockport County FC.
The 37-year old ex-Germany international has taken the reins at the Conference club with the aim of getting them straight back into the Football League.
Hamann has signed a one-year deal with the Hatters who have recently been taken over by a Liverpool-based consortium headed by Tony Evans.
The ex-Reds star, who also played with Bayern Munich, Newcastle United, Bolton and Manchester City has had some experience as manager when he was player-coach at MK Dons.
