Fabio Capello has been confirmed as the new manager of the Russian national team.
The 66-year old Italian, who vacated his job as England boss in February, is set to sign with the Russian Football Union (RFU) with deputy president Nikita Simonyan revealing a deal will soon be complete.
"Today we decided to appoint Capello as our national team's manager," Simonyan said.
"We expect him to come to Moscow in the near future to finalise the details of his contract and sign it."
