MLS expansion franchise Vancouver Whitecaps are trialing former Aberdeen, Kilmarnock and Dundee defender Ryan O'Leary according to eightysixforever.com.

The 23-year old Scottish centre-half last played in May 2010 when on loan with Dundee and is hoping to resurrect his career with a move to MLS.

O'Leary spent five-and-a-half seasons with Kille after kicking off his career with a two-year stay at Aberdeen. His playing time in Scotland has stalled after he was one victim of circumstances at Dundee who fell into administration in 2010 but have since returned to the Scottish First Division.
