Everton, West Ham rival Man City for West Brom captain Jonny Evans

West Brom captain Jonny Evans remains a transfer target for the January market.

The Mirror says he is at the centre of a four-way tug of war with Everton and West Ham joining the chase for his services.

Manchester City saw a move for the 29-year-old centre-back break down at the end of August. West Brom want to keep the Northern Ireland defender at The Hawthorns and are ready to offer him a new deal.

It has left Evans with big decisions to make once the transfer window reopens in January. Pep Guardiola sees him as an option to strengthen his squad.

West Ham boss David Moyes sees Evans very much a player for the Hammers' first team, believing the Irishman would add leadership to their leaky defence.
