Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard admits they have revenge on the mind ahead of their Europa League clash with Benfica.
The 5-0 thrashing the Portuguese dished out in Lisbon a fortnight ago was a shattering experience for Howard and his team-mates.
"They gave us a real pasting and that hurts," said the 30-year-old American goalkeeper as he prepared for the return meeting at Goodison Park.
"Any professional would say the same. It is like getting hit on the chin and you lose some of your pride. There is no revenge mission or anything like that. We are trying to advance out of our group and it is a big deal that we get a result.
"It was not nice walking off the field there. It felt like it wasn't us. It was a terrible feeling being beaten like that. Now we've got them back here and we'll be doing everything we can to have a good win and that will make everyone feel a lot better.
"At Goodison, when everyone is pushing us on, you can feel that momentum. On our best days here it is amazing, so hopefully Benfica can feel what they gave us."
