Everton keeper Howard knows Ghana will be a difficult task

Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard is aware that the USA's Round of 16 opponents will be a tough team to beat on Saturday.

Howard is aware the Africans are physically strong and are capable of creating plenty of goalscoring chances but feels his side plays a similar brand and if patient, the USA can cause plenty of problems of their own.

"We've seen a lot of their games. They're physical, they're strong, they're fast, the can create special moments one-on-one," he said.

"As individuals, I think that plays to us a little bit because I think we're strong and we're fast and we like to go head-to-head. I think, collectively, if we do the same things we've been talking about, defending well as a unit, staying compact, I think the game will open up for us."
