Former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo was offered to Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer.
The ex-Red Devil had wanted to leave United in the transfer window in July and August, but was unable to find a club before the Premier League season started.
Ronaldo has since seen his contract ripped up by United, and may be on the verge of a move to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
Frankfurt executive board member Axel Hellmann told DAZN: “He was even offered to us."
Meanwhile Philip Holzer, chairman of the club's supervisory board, added: “I have the feeling he was offered to every Champions League club."
Ronaldo has not received much interest from Europe for his services since the World Cup concluded.
