DONE DEAL: Evan Ndicka explains choosing Roma

Evan Ndicka is excited to have signed for AS Roma.

The former Eintracht Frankfurt defender's move was confirmed this morning.

Ndicka commented: "The project that was illustrated to me, together with the history and prestige of this club, prompted me to come to Rome, a fantastic city who loves and lives for football.

"I can't wait to take the field at the Olimpico in front of my new fans and to be able to give my contribution to achieving our goals."

Earlier, Roma announced:

"AS Roma is pleased to announce the signing of Evan Ndicka. The defender – born in 1999 – has signed a contract until 2028. French - Evan was born in Paris - of a Cameroonian father and Ivorian mother, Ndicka grew up footballing in Auxerre, before joining Eintracht Frankfurt in 2018, with whom he won the Europa League a year ago.

"In the Bundesliga he totaled 134 appearances, with 10 goals. After having played in all the French youth national teams, Evan has recently chosen to marry the Ivory Coast's kit. Ndicka has chosen the number 5 shirt. Welcome Evan!"
