Derby County hope to strike a loan deal for Palermo striker Radoslaw Matusiak.

The Derby Telegraph says sources in Poland last night claimed Derby are in negotiations with Italian club Palermo over a possible loan move for Matusiak.

The 25-year-old, who has scored four goals in eight appearances for his country, has not settled at Palermo after signing from GKS Belchatow for around £1.1m in January.

He has played only three games for the Serie A outfit and has three years remaining on his contract.
