Dempsey pens contract extension at Fulham

US international Clint Dempsey has signed a contract extension with English Premier League club Fulham.

The 26-year old will now remain at Craven Cottage until 2013 after performing brilliantly for the club last season.

Dempsey joined Fulham in January 2007 from MLS club New England Revolution and more recently enjoyed some fantastic form with the US national team in the Confederations Cup, scoring against Egypt, Spain and Brazil during the campaign that ended with a loss in the final to the latter nation.
